Dua Lipa, aka Dua English artist and singer. She was born on the 22nd of August 1995, in London United Kingdom. Following her stint as a model, she decided to join Warner Bros Records and release her debut album entitled "Dua Lipa" in 2017. It peaked at number three in the U.K. Albums Chart and produced eight singles which included Be the One I.D.G.A.F and the U.K. top-ranked song New Rules which peaked at 6th on the charts in the United States. Lipa is the recipient of Brit Awards 2018 for two categories: British Female Artist, British Breakthrough Act and British. Dua Lipa is Bosnian heritage by her maternal grandmother. Her ancestors are also identified back to the Kosovo town of Peja. Lipa's two grandfathers both were historians. Her siblings are Rina and Gjin. Lipa was musically influenced by her father the lead singer and guitarist of Oda, the Kosovan rock band Oda. Her father at home continued playing music which included his own compositions and songs by David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Sting The Police and Stereophonics. Lipa started to sing at the age of six years old. In just her ninth year, she started singing at Sylvia Young Theater School. Lipa performed If I Ain't Gone You by Alicia Keys, and Beautiful Christina Aguilera. Lipa signed with Warner Bros. Records a agreement in 2014. Her debut song New Love was released on August 15, 2015.
